Not a “Morning Person?” This Tour’s For You.

At last. Now non “Morning People” have travel rights. Is there anything worse than stumbling out of bed at dawn, desperately scrounging for coffee and scrambling for the bus at 6 a.m.? You’re too tired to enjoy whatever global paradise you’re in — and certainly can’t stay awake for dinner, unless it’s the senior 4:30 p.m. special at Denny’s.
Now, thanks to kindred soul, Richard Price, Founder of California-based Executive Tours, there’s a new series of what it calls Crack of Noon Tours, designed — as it puts it — “for those who don’t consider themselves ‘morning people’.” In its guided excursions to Italy and France, the company takes pains to ensure that it never schedules any activities before noon. Executive Tours explains: “We firmly believe that travel is enjoyed much more when one is rested and relaxed — not herded and rushed. With Crack of Noon Tours, you will never hear the phrase, ‘bags out by six AM’.” Crack of Noon is all about the experience of travel. The company goes beyond just making reservations to help clients create an itinerary, arrange local meals and coordinate sightseeing. It’s also stays purposely small and therefore friendly by limiting attendance to just 24 people.
