Own a restaurant? Now there’s an app for that.
With the Big R busily squeezing any semblance of profits from so many restaurants, even tech-savvy restaurateurs aren’t likely to have the time or money to spend on developing an iPhone app for their business. But now, thanks to entrepreneur Eddie Peloke’s new Virginia-based company, Blue Shoe Mobile Solutions, help is on the way. Blue Shoe provides owners of restaurants, from Mom-and-Pop to mass, with custom, branded iPhone applications. The apps sport a smorgasbord (sorry, couldn’t resist) of features for both customers and owners. Restaurant patrons can use the apps to place orders right from their phones. Restaurateurs can use the apps to track their most popular dishes, see which locations are doing the most business and store customers’ favorite orders. They can also instantly post discounts, promotions and news of special events.
Blue Shoe charges an uber-reasonable one-time build fee of USD 500 per app; monthly fees are USD 50. Peloke explains: “No longer are large companies with vast available capital the only ones to experience the benefits of this technology. Blue Shoe is leveling the playing field and putting that technology in the hands of the local markets.”
Thanks, as always, to Springwise.

Thanks for the story about our company. We’re excited about our application and ready to get it in the hands of as many users and restaurants as possible.
